There is a light that never goes out (Sapuri*D Preferential Treatment)

This song was originally done by the Smiths- sung beautifully back then. Noel Gallagher did a take on it, acoustically sometime more recent, and I fell in love with the lyrics, agony and hope of the song again. I’d never heard the original before a bomb went off close to where I live now, in Lahore, Pakistan. I bought the live version, and slightly massaged it just to give it a beat and some timed reverbs- because the song seems to capture the agony as well as hope I feel now that I’m back in Lahore- after living abroad for almost all of my life.

Pakistan’s so much more than you think- I’m hopeful that we will cope with the current fiasco, and maybe one day you too, can come visit.

If you don’t see anything just hang on a second while the flash player loads…
