Mock Album Cover: Bloc Party

15 April 2010 3 Comments

I love the band Bloc Party. Their covers have always been so urban, and so crisp, like their font, kerning and a very muted representation of all the songs they have lying in wait for you as you unwrap the CD. I took this picture in downtown Los Angeles in 2009- looking West from the Walt Disney Hall of Music’s terrace, and decided that I just had to design a mock cover (and mock album even) to do this scene justice. Picking the band was the hard part. Now will someone please give me a job designing album covers?

Nice job! Could have been a nice single cover for a “A Weekend In The City” single.

I wish I knew how to get them to just take it and slap it on the next album. :) Thanks

Wow, that is amazing. If me and my band ever need an album cover artist (which we will) your the first guy I’m calling.
