Sapuri Audio Project

I always carry a voice recorder with me to capture sounds that I took for granted previously. These audioscapes, as I like to call them, as I like to call them, are recordings I’ve made all over Pakistan, and will continue to make for as long as I can. All recordings are originally made at a 44.100 kHz sample rate (which is the standard CD-quality, still unmatched by MP3 format), with either the voice memo functionality of iPhone OS3.0, or with a BelkinĀ  TuneTalk Pro, and an Olympus ME-15 clip-on mic that plugs into an iPod Classic, that was purchased specifically so I could use the recorder. For studio recording effect, I use the Audio Technica AT2020, which is ‘a budget mic’ (not really, by my Pakistani Rupee) with a Firewire audio interface to my laptop.

  1. Audio samples taken in Pakistan.
  2. Audio samples taken in the US.
  3. Audio samples taken in Dubai.
